Coaching for people who have to get results through other people

My coaching draws on twenty years of leading teams and ten years developing leaders inside large organisations, so the conversation stays reflective while remaining grounded in people, performance and commercial reality.

I have led teams of up to two hundred people across multiple management layers and carried responsibility for a $40 million retail operation. I know the pressure of managing performance, delegating when doing it yourself would be faster, and still being accountable for the result.

That experience does not mean I give you the answer. It helps me understand the context quickly, ask better questions and challenge assumptions without losing sight of what leadership feels like from inside the role.

You were good at your previous role and now the job has changed. You are responsible for other people, navigating expectations you have not faced before, and trying to build confidence without pretending you already know everything.

Established, but stuck

You have led for a while, but something is no longer moving — team performance, progression, confidence, a relationship or a recurring leadership pattern. You want space to think clearly and change what you are doing, not simply work harder.

It starts with a free 30-minute chemistry session to test fit in both directions. Engagements are usually six sessions over three months or ten over six, typically 60 or 90 minutes. Virtual is standard; in-person sessions are available in Singapore.

This is organisational and leadership coaching. The client owns the decisions and actions; my role is to help them think more clearly, notice patterns, test assumptions and move forward with intent.

Corporate engagements begin with a three-way contracting conversation: what the development is intended to support, what success would look like, and how confidentiality will work. Session content remains confidential; sponsors receive agreed themes and progress against the development goals, not a report of what was discussed.

"Thoughtful, challenging and very grounded. Dan doesn't overcomplicate things. He listens deeply and holds the mirror through powerful observations, asks simple questions that challenge your assumptions, and is willing to tell you what he is actually observing."

— Diya, Chief Learning Officer

Coaching is offered as a package. Investment depends on the length of the engagement and whether it is self-funded or organisation-sponsored; options are provided in writing after the chemistry session. Hogan, Genos or TMS assessments can be added where they support the development goal.
